How I work.

It’s important to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable with.
I want to create a safe, confidential space for you to talk, think through and explore your challenges.
I offer an initial consultation where we can meet (online or in person) to discuss what you are hoping to get from counselling/psychotherapy/EMDR.
If you decide to go ahead, we’ll agree a suitable time for weekly sessions.
Psychotherapy/Counselling.
Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, helps people explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a supportive environment.
I’m here to listen without judgment, helping you gain insight and develop coping strategies. It’s a collaborative process that can work together to improve your well-being and help navigate life’s challenges.
You can have psychotherapy on its own, or you may choose to have some EMDR sessions too.

EMDR.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured therapy that helps people process distressing memories, particularly those linked to trauma.
Using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain reprocess difficult experiences, reducing their emotional impact.
It’s a proven approach for conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and phobias, enabling people to move forward with less distress.
I offer it as a standalone therapy, or combined with psychotherapy.
